The service

YouTube Timestamp lets you save moments from YouTube videos with notes and tags, search and organize them, and optionally sync them to a cloud archive you can open in the web dashboard. The Chrome extension and the website together make up the service.

Accounts

You can use the extension signed out; those saves stay on your device. Creating an archive account requires Google sign-in. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to that Google account secure.

Free plan

Free accounts can sync up to 100 active timestamps to the cloud. Only active (not deleted) saves count toward the limit. Signed-out extension use remains unlimited and local-only. When a free account is at the sync limit, new extension saves may stay on the device only until you upgrade or delete synced timestamps.

Pro plan and pricing

Pro unlocks unlimited cloud-synced timestamps and folder organization, plus future Pro features as we ship them. The founding price is $49 per year. We expect the list price to rise to $99 per year when AI features ship; founding subscribers keep the $49 rate for life while their subscription remains continuous.

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments on a hosted checkout. By purchasing Pro you authorize recurring annual charges until you cancel.

Renewal and cancellation

Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel from the billing page before renewal. When a Pro subscription ends, nothing in your library is deleted. You can still browse, search, edit, favorite, and delete timestamps. New cloud saves pause once you are over the free limit of 100, and folders lock until you resubscribe.

Acceptable use

Use the service only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to abuse sync, bypass plan limits by automated means, interfere with other users, or use the service to store content you do not have rights to keep. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Your content

You retain rights to the notes and tags you create. You grant us the limited rights needed to store, sync, and display that content so the service can function. Video titles, channel names, and thumbnails come from YouTube and remain subject to YouTube’s terms.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect sync in every network condition, or that YouTube’s page layout will always allow the extension UI to appear. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
